Hustler Magazine: Barely Legal After Barely Legal (2010-2018)

My first blog post on the history of "barely legal" images in Hustler magazine begins with the early years of the publication in the 1970s and continues up to 1993, when Hustler's Barely Legal magazine made its debut.  That blog post is entitled, Hustler Magazine: Barely Legal Before Barely Legal.  The second blog post covers the years from 1994 through 1999, and is entitled, Hustler Magazine: Barely Legal After Barely Legal (1994-1999).  The third post covers the years from 2000 through 2009, and is entitled, Hustler Magazine: Barely Legal After Barely Legal (2000-2009).  This post covers the years from 2010 through 2018.

Looking through this collection of images from Hustler magazine, one can see how certain elements of the "barely legal" style have changed a little bit here and there over the years, and also how certain things have not changed all too much in respect to this particular porn genre and approach.  One thing specifically I've noticed from examining the images of our current decade is that more people seem to be getting tattoos at a younger age, so it does make the fantasy element seem more abstract when supposed "schoolgirls", "cheerleaders", and "scouts" appear to have more tattoos than a group of merchant marines or a fleet of truckers.  It does seem like the "barely legal" style, in some ways, has increasingly become a sort of ageplay type of cosplay these days as much as anything else, and even though it can help for the sake of authenticity, women need not be in the "barely legal" age range (18 to 23) to dress the part.  In some ways, the "barely legal" style has "come of age" in the modern era, since it is such a common style in pornography now, and as porn has become increasingly more mainstream overall, it seems less controversial and not as strange to see middle-aged women wearing "slutty schoolgirl" costumes during Halloween.

The following is a chronological visual exposé depicting the evolutionary development of youthful "barely legal" images appearing in Hustler magazine from 2010 to 2018:

As one can see, the "barely legal" porn style lives on!
